Bull didn't linger too long at fight club after Dorian left. He was bruised but it was hardly anything more than he might have gotten from a training session. He let himself into their new house. There was still unpacking - mostly Dorian's books - but It was starting to look settled in.

"Dorian?" he called as he nudged the door shut again, listening for movement in the house. Dorian's words had been shivering down his spine since their tussle: I have plans for you and that smart mouth of yours.

"Now you were," Dorian agreed. He gave Bull an odd smile.

"You were such a sweet little thing. It's always so strange to remember that you grew up from a relatively normal-sized baby."

He hoped Bull wouldn't find the comment offensive. Dorian had meant it well, but realized only after saying it that it might sound like he suspected Qunari children were somehow not really children at all.

"I suppose it's just as difficult for you to imagine the reverse, though. I was not a sociable child. That much is the truth."

"Worryingly accurate." Dorian gave a laugh that could only be described as a guffaw. Bull had given him a very ridiculous picture. He could only imagine what his mother's reaction to such a comment would have been.

"I came out with no such thing! I know it may be hard to believe, but it's a novel development. I think I may have done it simply because my mother tried to forbid it."
